There was almost a 10 second pause as the lady tried to decide how to pronounce Cecillia's Chinese first name, Xue Qiong. :) I'll give her kudos for trying and it was her first time participating in the ceremony. If you want to try to pronounce Xue Qiong, the closest tip I can offer in English is Chu (like the first part of Chuck) Chong. I've got it down pat after all these years and don't even have to think about it any more. It was a diverse gathering of 38 new citizens from 22 countries. This was the second ceremony of the day, I'm not sure how many was in the first group but it a staggering number when you think about how many people may become new citizens each day in each major city.
