I know what you mean. I rescued a plant similar to that one out of the trash. It was raggedy and sad for quite awhile, but I just couldn't give up on it.

I found a plant with a note from my school's mental health center saying to nurture it and grow strong with it. I took it home, promised to plant it outside and promptly forgot about it and let it die. I got REAL help soon after. Poor plant.
