    In the Dec­la­ra­tion of In­de­pen­dence, it states, "We hold these truths to be self-​ev­i­den­t, that all men are cre­at­ed equal, that they are en­dowed. . . with cer­tain un­alien­able Right­s, that among these are Life, Lib­er­ty and the pur­suit of Hap­pi­ness. " That doesn't not in­clude any of the mi­nor­i­tys.

    There's a dif­fer­ence be­tween Gay mar­riage and civ­il union­s. The word, "mar­riage" im­plies re­li­gion, where "civ­il union" im­plies a law.

    im sure if the str8s could­nt mar­ry and the gays could, itd be the ex­act same war be­tween peo­ple. if theyd just let the gays mar­ry, then im sure there would be peace...kin­da. ev­ery­one needs to be treat­ed the same way, as equal­s. and not be de­grat­ed by a stupid law that was made by ig­no­rant peo­ple.
