Description:
Linwood--- If you haven't already heard of Bianca Ryan, you will. An aspiring singer since she was 8, three years later, her dynamic delivery brought fans to their feet in front of a national audience on the hit series America’s Got Talent.
Bianca learned about the show from a few friends, but it was her grandmother's trip to a Japanese market in New York City that actually made the opportunity possible. She says she asked her dad if they had enough time for him to take her to the audition, and despite being sick, she got the call back and the rest is history. At just eleven years old she was the first million-dollar winner of the televised talent show.
“It was completely incredible. I didn't even realize that he said my name that Regis said my name. I was completely in shock.”
To her voice coach, Linwood based Sal Dupree; her win came as no surprise. “Bianca's gift again is an exception at 11 years old to be able to get a kid to sing those level of songs. In that degree of technical ability you have to say wait a minute, it's not the good shop lollipop. How can she even do it?”
Now 14, with one cd under her belt, a second to follow with legendary producer Quincy Jones, a Christmas album, and concert dates around the world, her fan base is growing by leaps and bounds.
“It's really amazing you get to meet a lot of cool people and travel the world and see things that I never would have dreamed of seeing in my entire life, “ Bianca says.
When she was three, her family left her birthplace of Ocean City for Philadelphia, but she always enjoys coming back, especially to study with Sal, who says has always been extremely supportive. Sal says he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“It makes a teacher look great when you have a student like Bianca walk in or the other students like Tiffany Evans and the Clique Girlz, kids that are out there now, making a living in my industry.”
An industry that's just beginning to know a little girl born in Ocean City who's definitely proved that she’s got talent.
