Why would politi­cians want to con­trol en­er­gy? Why would they want to con­trol mon­ey? Why would the fed­er­al gov­ern­ment want 40% of what ev­ery Amer­i­can earns and 40% of all cor­po­rate prof­it, and con­trol what we eat, drink, read, see, and think?

That's the kind of think­ing that got us where we are! The best pol­i­cy is al­ways the truth, and I'm won­der­ing in what ways do we as a civ­i­liza­tion need to be "more earth friend­ly and en­er­gy con­scious" that would jus­ti­fy mis­rep­re­sen­ta­tion of data?
