This is my daughter Zoe's visit to the clinic. She has been in treatment for Leukemia for 2 years. Honestly everytime I say that, it seems unbelievable. Anyway, we couldn't bring ourselves to document, on video, any of her treatments before. We decided we wanted to have some video of her visits. We would like for others to se just what these litlle children have to go through. Zoe has a spinal tap every 12 weeks with chemo injected into her spinal fluid. Also, her permanent port is accessed every 4 weeks for a dose of chemo. This is just part of what she has to have done. She also goes every 2 weeks for labwork & takes chemo meds at home. We hope that one day no child will ever have to endure these painful procedures. On this video at times you will hear us laughing & joking. It may seem a little too routine to you as you watch it. We nor any other parents that have to go through this ever consider it routine. But, you have to kepp your joy & sense of humor even in the midst of something so scary & worrisome. Just look at ZOe she is such a trooper. I am so proud of her. I have to say thank you to the doctors & researchers that have given their lives to trying to save these precious children. And to the nureses at the clinic we love you so much. You have made this terrible trial in our lives a little more bearable. We love you! Pray for Zoe to finish strong!!
