my fa­vorite. this movie is tru­ly one of the best pieces of fil­mak­ing in his­to­ry. she cap­tures the line be­tween in­san­i­ty and pure hope. she hopes for hap­pi­ness so hard that it push­es her over the edge. it's heart­break­ing.

I was just think­ing of the scene from the Dr's of­fice where Mrs. Gold­farb is hal­lu­ci­nat­ing and the Dr. tells her she's fine.
