Im pretty sure it was an F/A-18, i live in Viginia Beach Virginia, Home of Oceana. i have these birds flying over my house all day. it looked like one, sounded like one, all though ive never seen them go that fast but they do keep the afterburners on

Haha thats Flanders! The pilot btw people. I was actually at this Airshow and know both the F-18 pilots and umm...buddy they didnt break sound barrier that was .99 the max they can do at an Airshow.

Coming from a future Naval aviator Bobby is right, under no circumstances is it ok for a pilot to break the sound barrier during an air show. Pilots may get close but not go through. Still love the vid though!

Sound barrier or not, These birds rock! And Yes, it was an F/A-18E. The Bigger Better Faster of the Hornets. Too bad you didn't get to see it really break though. You sure would have known it had! Semper Fi!
