    Im pret­ty sure it was an F/A-​18, i live in Vig­inia Beach Vir­gini­a, Home of Oceana. i have these birds fly­ing over my house all day. it looked like one, sound­ed like one, all though ive nev­er seen them go that fast but they do keep the af­ter­burn­ers on

    Ha­ha thats Flan­der­s! The pi­lot btw peo­ple. I was ac­tu­al­ly at this Air­show and know both the F-​18 pi­lots and um­m...bud­dy they did­nt break sound bar­ri­er that was .99 the max they can do at an Air­show.

    Com­ing from a fu­ture Naval avi­a­tor Bob­by is right, un­der no cir­cum­stances is it ok for a pi­lot to break the sound bar­ri­er dur­ing an air show. Pi­lots may get close but not go through. Still love the vid though! -​Drew

    Sound bar­ri­er or not, These birds rock! And Yes, it was an F/A-​18E. The Big­ger Bet­ter Faster of the Hor­net­s. Too bad you didn't get to see it re­al­ly break though. You sure would have known it had! Sem­per Fi!
