I wrote this song for my friend, Elaine, who I recently had the great fortune to become aquainted with. She's a great soul with a beautiful voice. I have more instrumental arrangements in my mind for this song, but this is the basic skeleton. I've been listening and enjoying a lot of traditional Americana music and songs lately, and of course the great Doc Watson is forever in my mind. Also, been courting the idea of writing children's songs, since a lot of my friends and family have been having kids lately. Since Uncle Steve can't be there in person to amuse all these new babies as they grow up, maybe my music can at least give them something to listen to. So, please enjoy this song. Play it for the kids, have 'em draw a picture of it, learn it and sing it to them, or pass it on to those who also enjoy it.
