In this short film, Community Organizer Sam Smith recalls the gang violence situation in the African American community of Buffalo, NY in the early 1970's, and the efforts to initiate a city wide gang truce. In part 1 residents of the east side community take steps to defend themselves against the rampant black on black violence committted by Buffalo's black youth.
