A non-​fic­tion war book that’s long on laughs and short on vul­gar lan­guage. While book is il­lu­mi­nat­ing, it's by no means a rah-​rah ac­count of the Viet­nam War. This work is a tour de force whose hu­mor and can­dor is au­da­cious.
