An old school gothic band, born from such diversities as the London stage, and the darker side of American metal. On one hand we have a pioneer gothic DJ has plied his craft in many guises over the last 20 years.
Black Roses, Poetry & Death are:
Marek on vocals, lyrics, programming and theatrics, who hails from the ashes of the darkened Northern streets of Leeds, England. To be one of the very first DJ’s in the gothic music scene. Associating with the likes of Marc Almond, Genesis P-Orridge, Andrew Eldritch and Southern Death Cult. Was then to drift into theatre to hone his performing skills into a fine art. Eventually into that haunting, dark gothic sound of old.
Scapegoat on guitar, keyboards, drums, bass programming, lyrics and theatrics comes from the dark end of Southern California. A Musician since the age of 12, has played, in several bands, like Sound Cancer, KulturWar and Intertwined, has even shown his talents at producing and promoting other musicians.
Now both residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, and playing that old school gothic sound reminiscent to and compared to in the darker music circles to the likes of Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy and Joy Division.
To date they have played with the likes of Psychic TV, King Diamond and Mercyful Fate, and appeared on such famous stages as the Marquee in London and The Whisky in Los Angeles.
Recently they have :
Headlined a Goth festival
Opened for VNV Nation
Played the last night of NYC’s legendary club CBGB’s
Had radio and club play in New York, Boston, Leeds, London, and Las Vegas.
Been interviewed for gothic T.V. documentary
