I grew up on the blues as much as any­thing! I re­call my fa­ther play­ing the gui­tar so­lo from Honky Tonk many times; he even wrote lyrics to it.<br><br>

Frankie is a great cat. He owns At­lanta Vin­tage Gui­tars in Smyr­na. We bumped in­to each oth­er again re­cent­ly on a church gig. I didn't re­al­ize how much he loved the blues un­til I caught up with him at Fat Matt's Rib Shack one night and we tore in­to 'Honky Tonk.' Clif­ford Scott was the orig­i­nal sax play­er that brought the spit and grit to this pe­ice with Bill Doggett's band.<br><br>
