After several years of development and scattered filming and post-production, it's with great pleasure that Cinema Nouveau presents the first movement of writer-director Brian Skutle's first short film project, "Unwinnable Hand: A Thriller in Two Movements." It's been a long road, and there's still a way to go in finishing the second movement, but Brian hopes you'll agree that this is a pretty good way to start things off.

Ron's death: BRUTAL! Ron goes down HARD. And, the reactions of the other characters...harsh :). All as intended, but seems much more visceral in it's true form.
Poker talk: Excellent editing. That turned out really well.
