“Disgracing The Family Name” was a song first released as a single on Miles Copeland’s Illegal Records label in the UK and Europe in November 1979, and the song is currently featured on the international CD: “What’s This? 1976-1979,” on Skafish’s own label 829 Records, released April 1, 2008. The video features almost 30 years of archival and never before seen footage of Skafish performances, from February 4, 1977 through November 25, 2006. The video is Directed by Chicago director, editor, and filmmaker John Anderson, who witnessed Skafish’s performances as early as the mid 1970’s. Anderson’s credits including being a 2005 Grammy Award nominee as the director and editor for the legendary “Brian Wilson presents: SMiLE” DVD. Anderson has also worked with such artists as: Kayne West, Pete Townshend, Elvis Costello, Paul McCartney, Patti Smith, Eric Clapton, and The Residents, to name a few. The audio recording was originally Produced by Skafish, and the performers are: Skafish - Lead Vocals, Piano, Lead Guitar Larry Mazalan - Guitar, Vocals Karen Winner - Guitar, Vocals Mark Winner - Organ, Electric Piano, Vocals Greg Sarchet - Bass Guitar, Vocals Larry Mysliwiec - Drums (Hand Claps by entire band) ©Copyright 2008 829 Records, a subsidiary of La Befana Records

    I have loved this record since the very 1st time I heard it when I was a teenag­er and it was my in­tro­duc­tion to the amaz­ing and orig­i­nal mu­sic of Jim Skafish and I am still a huge fan all these years lat­er and love al­most ev­ery­thing he has done since
