This ani­me is about A wolf god Horo who takes the form of A hu­man with wolf ears & tail the on­ly way her true form can be reveiled is if she drinks the blood of A liv­ing or eats wheat. Dur­ing these times Horo is no longer need­ed to har­vest the wheats and help the land now that hu­mans can do it with there own pow­er so Horo ends up bi­eng for­got­ten by the peo­ple left as A leg­end now that hu­mans no longer need her. She meets up with A trav­el­ing mer­chant and re­quests A fa­vor of him to take her back to her orginal home­land in the north.
