Forty years ago, while the Soviet Union dreamed of putting a man on the Moon, the United States' first mssion to the Moon occurred during the Christmas season of 1968. (Apollo 8) Interestingly, the last mission to the Moon, Apollo 17, was also during the holiday season. Hope you enjoy.
