"Born to Skate" is a skate­board road­movie. It deals with the last big trip of the skate­board­ers Se­bas­tian and Chris. For Se­bas­tian it is a quest for his first true love, which he for­got a long time ago -​ skate­board­ing.

Chris sup­ports Se­bas­tian and tries to bring him back to his roots. He al­so works out an in­tense act of friend­ship for Se­bas­tian, while mak­ing it pos­si­ble for him to skate with some of the worlds great­est skate­board­ers be­fore the trip ends and Se­bas­tians life changes in­to the se­ri­ous­ness of adult ex­is­tence, be­cause of a reg­u­lar job.

"Born to Skate" is a sto­ry of deep friend­ship be­tween two neu­rot­ic young men and their progress of self-​aware­ness dur­ing an act of re­fusal against our mod­ern achieve­ment-​ori­ent­ed so­ci­ety. The boys try to es­cape this vi­cious cir­cle by han­dling things their own way and putting sense in­to the mad­ness of life.
