About the film Somewhere Down Above The Skies is a meditation on nature and the vulnerability of being human on Earth. Even the steadiness and reliability of such strong structures as trees are questioned to express the difficulty to find balance in life. It is based on some visual ideas of showing crowns of leafless trees which are visually connected to their roots. My artistic collaborator Nadia Malik had a major role in finding a great dress and improvising relevant movements.The soundtrack based on found music composed by In Vitro. I like the fact the music at some points takes over and becomes a leading force.
