The Ap­palachi­an melody Amaz­ing Grace on Na­tive Amer­i­can Drone or Dou­ble Bar­rel Flute. Played by Randy Granger. The lyrics for this song were writ­ten by a ship­ping cap­tain and slave own­er who re­al­ized one day slav­ery was wrong and the words are about his trans­for­ma­tion seek­ing re­demp­tion. We all need that some times it seems.

I vol­un­teer my mu­sic in a Hos­pice and a hos­pi­tal and of­ten am asked to play Amaz­ing Grace for com­fort and when peo­ple are pass­ing on and leav­ing their bod­ies. It is hum­bling.
