Description:

“The Making of ReggaeBlue” is an intimate look at the creation of Rusty Zinn’s latest solo CD, ReggaeBlue. The video features interviews with Rusty, along with Jack McCullough, CEO and producer of Bad Daddy Records; Fully Fullwood, founding member of 70’s reggae band, Soul Syndicate, who also guests on ReggaeBlue; and recording engineer Jeff Haddad. In the video, Rusty explains how ReggaeBlue goes back to his roots -- to the first time he heard soul music. He says that music is the greatest passion in his life and talks about the buzz he gets when he plays live. As he describes in the video, his music appeals to all faiths, ethnicities, cultures and generations because his lyrics weave together stories that everyone can relate to. Jack McCullough echoes that sentiment, saying that Rusty’s music is timeless, with something for everyone. Jeff Haddad, recording engineer on ReggaeBlue, provides his technical expertise to the video, explaining how the world-class studio where ReggaeBlue was recorded helped to capture the unique sound of Rusty’s music. Founding member of Soul Syndicate, Fully Fullwood, talks about his days in Jamaica when he helped create the reggae sound and says that Rusty’s lyrics are reminiscent of those same topics that early reggae artists wrote about.
