Developed through the Stanford Digital Vision program, Robotics Stimul-I aims to use LEGO robotics workshops to motivate innercity kids to increase their literacy and numeracy. In July 2007, we will launch a 6-month pilot in Kingston, Jamaica that will also offer workshops in filmmaking, photography and music. The students will make movies, photo journals and songs about their robotic creations and be part of Jamaica's first robotics exposition. In the following phase, we will prepare a team to compete in the 2007 World Robotics Olympiad in Taipei, and use their digital stories to launch a cultural exchange.
