A 1000hp 4 will have to rev higher, which is where they get their power. The amount of money spent on the Evo is more than what was spent on the Vette. You also have to understand that the Vette, Lingenfelter cars, are street legal and warrantied.

hey mike you are right you can build a 4 banger with a 1000hp but it will never no matter how hard you try make as much torque as a v8 and waggle its not a big block its a Ls7 smallblock with a 4.125 inch bore and a 4 inch stroke which has 427 cubes

youre right mike, but if you the same amount of money into the vette as they did that evo, god only knows how much HP the vette would have.

i grew up a muscle car fan but its sad that AMS can push out over 1000hp from a 2.3L 4 cylinder EVO and Lingenfelter has a 427 twin turbo and can only get 1038hp out of it... pardon me but something seems wrong here.. they're both street cars too!
