The infamous eviction of Merlin from the 2004 series of Big Brother Australia. As Merlin entered the Big Brother studio auditorium, he placed duct tape over his mouth, held up a sign displaying 'FREE TH REFUGEES', and refused to speak. This caused much outrage and confusion amongst the studio audience of whom were very hard to contain. Merlin issued an on-air apology the following day to host Gretel Killeen and other parties that were also concerned including those present at the eviction
