    al­most spot on! but in­side the nes is a con­trol chip that has to be re­moved so you can get to to the con­nec­tions for the pad. ba­sicly ex­tend the dvd play­er cir­cuit to the back of the con­trol pad port then plug in a con­troller and rewire that to match

    he got the con­troller work­ing by more than like­ly open­ing the dvd case find­ing the ports on the board for the con­trol along with the but­ton on the pad and ac­tu­al­ly hard wired the con­troller in it's very hard to do but for a me­chan­ic it comes nat­u­ral
