Cromwell is cast as Ty­rone, an opressed fig­ure of the church that is tricked by the treach­ery of the gospel in­to sub­mis­sion to the con­de­scend­ing de­mands of the wealthy oil in­dus­tri­al gi­ant rev­erend, Rev. Mar­shall (Truth), who has pride of his "mas­ter race" that is dis­played fer­vent­ly in his ser­mons.
This ur­gent de­pic­tion of the Dis of Protes­tantism and heirar­chial het­ero moral­i­ty re­vival­ist Great Awak­en­ing mind­less fuck is as near to the truth as any pro­duc­er can get. This hate is re­al, a con­crete fig­ure fer­ment­ing the world to bit­ter de­feat, and it is fer­vent not on­ly in the Bible Belt but al­so in the Sun Belt, in the ar­eas of the South­west and yes, even our own In­land Em­pire of Cal­i­for­nia. There is on­ly one way to de­feat this ig­no­rance: af­fir­ma­tive ac­tion (ha­ha Bush is such a con­ser­va­tive cutie <3.....well okay maybe not), and this will def­i­nite­ly be aid­ed by your par­tic­i­pa­tion in the Na­tion­al Day of Si­lence.
The Na­tion­al Day of Si­lence is April 18, 2007. On this day I urge you to re­frain from so­cial frivoli­ty in a si­lence that is a demon­stra­tion of the ac­tu­al si­lence im­posed dai­ly on those of the LBGT clas­si­fi­ca­tion.
