In this second sample piece from an interview done in the summer of 2000 Heffernan discusses his working relationship with Phil, the Old Town video shoot and more. David Heffernan was a presenter on the Irish Saturday morning show 'Anything Goes'. Phil's demo of a song titled 'Together' would be the intro music for the show.

David Heffernan was the producer of the Old Town video promo, Philip's best known promo perhaps, though strangely enough the song wasn't a hit in the UK or Irish charts upon it's release in '82. Heffernan was probably more commonly known at the time that Lizzy were an ongoing concern for being a presenter on the popular Irish saturday morning show, 'Anything Goes'. He produced and presented what was for a long time the only documentary of substance on the band, though titled, 'Renegade-The Philip Lynott Story', the angle was very much Lizzy, it is still unavailable commercially. He would also go on to produce the exciting 6 part series, 'From A Whisper To A Scream', which would feature encouraging footage of Thin Lizzy and also cover in part Phil's solo adventures. Here, David discusses Lizzy and more in an interview which was heavily sourced for quotation for the Lizzy book. My intention is to go back and re-interview David for this new project, Emerald Cowboy. David was also responsible for Lizzy appearances on Irish TV in the early eighties.

Trick: Porcelet is supple; the best way to prepare it is a quick sear followed by a slow braise. Tip: Braising the meat helps tenderize it. Tip: You should Choose Porcelet over a standard pork chop when you want a juicier piece of pork. Technique: Tying up your meat helps it hold its shape while cooking. Tip: Panko (breadcrumbs made from crustless bread, and commonly used in French and Japanese cuisine) adds texture to a delicate meat.
